Yes. Send the drawing revision or 3D model, or a worn part with its casting number and machine model. Geometry, material and the conditions the part works in are reviewed together, so a replacement meets the application and not only the drawing.

BUYER QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers before you send a drawing, sample or part reference.
Green sand, shell molding, lost foam and investment casting are available, covering gray and ductile iron, carbon and alloy steel, high-manganese and wear-resistant grades, and stainless steel. The route is selected from geometry, quantity, tolerance and wear conditions rather than whichever process is easiest to schedule.
Find the Right Casting Process →The process sets the range: sand casting suits larger, heavier parts, while investment casting holds the tightest as-cast detail and finish. Mark the critical dimensions and the surfaces that will be machined, then tolerance class, machining allowance and finish are agreed per part before the pattern is made.
Machining, heat treatment, surface preparation and painting can be included when they form part of the confirmed requirement. Parts can then be delivered ready for assembly instead of as raw castings.
The drawing revision or 3D model, material grade or the service conditions the part must survive, quantity and annual volume, critical tolerances and machined surfaces, the inspection documents you need, marking and packing requirements, and the delivery destination. Anything missing is raised as a technical question instead of an assumption, and initial feedback follows within 12–24 hours.
All three follow the part. Geometry and size decide the pattern or tooling, material and inspection scope decide the production steps, and quantity decides how those costs are spread. They are confirmed with the quotation for your part and volume rather than published as figures that do not hold for every project.
Yes, sample validation is a normal stage of the route: dimensions, material and application fit are checked against the approved requirement before the batch runs. Corrections found at that point cost far less than corrections after casting.
Send the pattern or tooling records and we will review whether the condition and molding method fit the new part. Existing tooling often can be reused or adapted, but it is confirmed after the review, and replacing a pattern that is still serviceable wastes money.
The document scope is agreed before production: material identity by grade, heat or batch, critical dimensions, hardness at the specified location, and surface or appearance criteria, plus NDT or third-party inspection when they are specified. The list is written into the quotation so nothing has to be settled at shipment.
Drawings, 3D models and technical files are used only to quote and manufacture your parts, and are not passed to other customers. A formal NDA can be arranged where your process requires one.
Send photographs, the measurement record and the batch reference, then the cause is established and resolved through a replacement or an agreed corrective action. Claims are settled against the inspection scope fixed when the order was placed, which is why that scope is agreed up front.
